Race 1 (1:15pm) OHEKA
This Willie Haggas charge has a strong pedigree and started their career with a solid third, over [C&D(https://gg.co.uk/racing/27-aug-2021/newmarket-1310) on good to firm ground, when 5.75 lengths behind runaway winner, Silk Romance. Will be expected to come on, after that performance, especially with Oisin Murphy onboard this time. Strong claims in this contest.
Race 2 (1:50pm) COROEBUS
This Dubawi colt, got off to a perfect start, when taking the spoils on the July course, here at Newmarket (1m, good to firm) last month, beating a more experienced rival in Saga by 1.25 length, with the Gosden runner since winning at a higher level. That form puts Charlie Appleby’s charge in with a big shout here, even with the increase in difficulty here and is another with strong claims here.
Race 3 (2:25pm) SANDRINE
This Andrew Balding runner is in fine form, having won her opening three starts, including the Albany Stakes and Duchess Of Cambridge Stakes here at Newmarket (6f, good to firm) back in July. She missed out on a four timer in the Lowther Stakes at York last month, when a length behind Zain Claudette, who is 3lbs worse off this time around. Capable of bouncing back as should be involved as they head into the closing stages.
Race 4 (3:00pm) ASYMMETRIC
This Alan King runner picked up a double in his opening two starts, including a win here over 6f back in June. He impressed when second in the Group 2 - July Stakes (6f, good to firm) here a month later, before going one better and taking the spoils at Goodwood (6f, good to soft) in the Richmond Stakes, beating Khunan by half a length. A third in the Prix Morny at Deauville showed he is in good stead and this looks a decent opportunity in a very competitive contest
Race 5 (3:35pm) MAGICAL MORNING
Three career wins for this team Gosden runner, with the last of those coming at Sandown in the Class 2 - Coral Challenge in July, when 0.75 lengths clear of Maydanny. He bounced back from a poor following run at Goodwood, to place second and just a head behind Cruyff Turn, off a big weight at York in the Clipper and another similar run could push them to take the spoils. Extra furlong should not be an issue, with Frankie Dettori’s ride, narrow favourite.
Race 6 (4:10pm) PARAMETER
Le Havre filly, out of Criteria and half-sister 1m 4f winner, Defined. Dam was also a 1m 4f, winner, who could stay to 1m 6f and is sister to the useful Alice Springs. This Sir Michael Stoute contender is out of the Galileo pedigree and is expected to go well, with Ryan Moore onboard.
