Race 1 (1:30pm) REALIST

Gordon Elliot runner, who goes looking for a double, having taken the spoils at Down Royal (2m, good) last time out, when 1.75 lengths ahead of Bell Ex One, on the first start over hurdles, who reopposes again. Strong claims one more and will only improve over flights with experience.

Race 2 (2:00pm) FRENCH MADE

Two wins in five starts so far, with those victories coming back in 2019. Returned after a long lay-off, with a twelfth of nineteen at Galway (2m 6f, good) on handicap debut in July and is likely to show lots of improvement with that under her belt. Drop to 2m 4f is likely to help here and Willie Mullins’s charge can go close in this contest.

Race 3 (2:30pm) OUTLIER

Winner on debut at Tipperary (2m, heavy) in May, when 1.75 lengths clear of Believe Jack. She then placed third in the latest at the same venue in July (2m, good to yielding), in a tougher contest and certainly looks capable of showing more in this longer stamina test. Patrick Flynn’s runner could arguably run further than this 2m 4f, but it will be interesting to see how she goes. Major player here.

Race 4 (3:00pm) CITIZEN’S ARMY

Picked up a maiden victory at the sixth attempt, when taking the spoils at Sligo (2m 4f, yielding), beating Padraic’s Choice by half a length. She battled strongly that day to hold on to the victory and there looks to be more progression to come from this Eugene O’Sullivan trained mare.

Race 5 (3:30pm) WALL OF FAME

Looked a promising type last season, placing third in a maiden hurdle at Thurles (2m 7f, heavy) back in February, before taking the spoils in a useful bumper at Punchestown (2m 1f, heavy) a month later, when 2 lengths clear of Isle Of Osir and a further 3 lengths clear of the rest. Minor concern in terms of ground, having only ran on heavy conditions, but there is plenty of improvement to come from this Gordon Elliot runner, with plenty of expectation here.

Race 6 (4:00pm) COACH CARTER

Winner on second start, when taking the victory at Punchestown (2m, soft) back in March, finishing 3.5 lengths clear of second and a further 4 lengths clear of the rest. Has not been able to build off that win, placing sixth in two following starts, on yielding and good ground, so returns with a little to prove, if conditions are a little firmer. However, with Davy Russell onboard for the first time, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see an improvement on return.
