Race 1 (1:15pm) AL SHIBLI
Shamardal colt, out of Rayaheen and half-brother to Group 3 winner, Tajaanus and Group placed Motafaawit. Dam was a winner over 6f. Interesting runner for Richard Hanon, who also has contender, Dukebox in this contest. Should go very close here.
Race 2 (1:50pm) CREATIVE FORCE
Three wins in four starts, with the latest of those sealing a double at Newmarket (6f, good to firm) a fortnight ago, although he was made to work for it, despite being odds on favourite, with Perotto a length back. Has not ran on anything slower than good to firm, but immediate family tend to run well on softer. More to come and usually finds whats needed under pressure.
Race 3 (2:25pm) LOGICIAN
Six wins in seven, including the St Leger at Doncaster back in 2019. Had two runs last seaso, with a win also at Doncaster (1m 2f, good) in a two runner contest back in September, before losing his unbeaten run at York (1m 3f, soft) in a Group 3 contest, although conditions looked unfavourable. Should bounce back today, if he is back on song.
Race 4 (3:00pm) BAY BRIDGE
Decent performances in first couple of runs, before taking a maiden victory at Newcastle (1m 2f, a/w), when 5 lengths clear of Al Nefud. This King George VII entry makes a handicap debut today, with plenty of expectation for Sir Michael Stoute’s charge and goes in as strong favourite.
Race 5 (3:35pm) PALACE PIER
Five wins in six starts, including the St James’s Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot (7f, good) last Summer, when beating Pinatubo by a length. That was followed a win in the Prix Jacques Le Marois at Deauville in August.
A third in the QE2 Stakes back at Ascot in October can be attributed to losing a shoe and on his return last month, picked up the win in a Group 2 at Sandown, winning by 8 lengths, with trainer John Gosden stating he was only 80% ready. Strong favourite and handles any round.
Race 6 (4:10pm) TWISTED REALITY
Winner on only start at Nottingham (1m, soft), back in November, beating Dancing To Win by 1.25 lengths. Looked comfortable that day, making steady headway, before leading in th final furlong. Plenty to come you would expect, while booking of Oisin Murphy can only help.
