Race 1 (2:00pm) SAMEEM

Four wins in sixteen starts, but its been two years since the last of those. A fifth last time out at Ripon (1m 1f, soft) offers some hopes of a return to top form and this should be a good opportunity to show further improvement.

Race 2 (2:35pm) BAASHIR

Won at Salisbury (6f, good to firm) a year ago and showed a glimpse of that form, when second at Nottingham (1m, good to soft), when a neck behind Cruyff Turn a month ago. That run inspires plenty of confidence, coming into this contest.

Race 3 (3:05pm) MAKAWEE

Picked up a fourth career win at Goodwood (1m 6f, good to soft) back in September and has looked to be nearing that form in two starts this season, placing second again at Goodwood (1m 3f, good to firm) in April, before a third in the Group 3 - Bronte Stakes at York (1m 5f, soft). In strong form and capable of grabbing the win

Race 4 (3:40pm) SHOWALONG

Three wins in six starts, including a victory at Chester (5f, good to soft) in a Class 2 contest last month, when 0.75 lengths clear of First Company. All three wins have come on slower ground, although the fourth on reappearance at Thirsk in April, was on good to firm. Return to 6f should see further improvement and has a good chance here.

Race 5 (4:15pm) BOSH

Impressive start in a novices’ contest, on debut at Salisbury (5f, good to soft), placing second and 0.75 lengths adrift of Second Wind, just a fortnight ago. Extended trip looks more suited, having made a late flourish in the previous race and looks to be the one to beat in all probability.

Race 6 (4:50pm) LA TRINIDAD

Two wins in thirteen, sealing a double at Doncaster last year. Grabbed a handful of placed finishes too, last year, but has yet to really show that in to starts this season, with a sixth of fourteen, last time out at York (7f, good), 5 lengths adrift of the winner. Drops 2lbs and in grade for this contest and should feature prominently.
