Race 1 (1:00pm) KENNET

A well bred son of Iffraaj, he looked very green when ninth of sixteen at Doncaster (7f, good to firm) on debut thirteen days ago, when 6.5 lengths adrift of the winner. This team Gosden runner is sure to find significant improvement in this contest and should be in the mix as they head into the closing stages on this extended mile trip. Robert Havlin take over onboard.

Race 2 (1:35pm) MR PROFESSOR

Has won both runs since switching to Alice Haynes yard, taking the spoils on yard debut at Kempton (1m, a/w), before following up with a victory at Bath (1m, firm), beating Madame Ambassador by 1.75 lengths twelve days ago. This looks a nursery within his grasp, especially with a drop of 7lbs from his last run, Strong claims and should feature.

Race 3 (2:10pm) LOVELY BREEZE

Two wins and three seconds in the last six starts, with the latest victory, coming at Goodwood (6f, soft) in June, when 1.75 lengths clear of Crazy Luck. She struggled in the listed – Flying Filly Stakes last time out at Pontefract, but a return to a more realistic level here, should put them back in with a strong claims once again. Jamie Doyle returns onboard.

Race 4 (2:45pm) RIBHI

Surprised on debut, when taking the spoils at Salisbury over 6f, when a 20/1 shot and beating Buoyant by 2.75 lengths last month. Didn’t match that at Doncaster (7f, good to firm) in the listed – Flying Scotsman, when fifth of nine, but he was still only 1.75 lengths adrift of winner, Noble Truth. More to come at this lesser level and likely to feature.

Race 5 (3:20pm) NAYEF ROAD

Winner of the Group 3 – Gordon Stakes back in 2019 and the Sagaro Stakes at Newcastle last year, but has failed to win in eight subsequent runs since, although a third last time out in the Group 2 – Doncaster Cup (2m 1f, good to firm), when 6.5 lengths behind Stradivarius, shows Mark Johnston’s charge is far from a fading star. However, this drop in grade is surely only going to encourage their chances once again, especially after that last performance. Big opportunity, if able to repeat that previous run.

Race 6 (3:55pm) TRIBAL ART

Three wins in six starts and comes in looking of a hattrick, having followed a win at Kempton (1m 2f, a/w) last month, with victory at Carlisle (1m 3f, good to firm) a fortnight ago, when a neck ahead of Charging Thunder. Mark Johnston clearly has high hopes and the booking of William Buick only adds to that idea. Potential for a treble here, but will at least go very close.
