Race 1 (4:50pm) LUCKY MAN
Has been well held in three appearances so far, for Richard Spencer, although the sixth last time out at Windsor when a 100/1 shot, saw them just 7.5 lengths adrift of the very useful Jazz Club, who has since gone close in a Class 2 contest. His RPR’s have been positive, whilst a nursery debut looks to offer stronger chances here. Due to go up 3lbs and has an opportunity to make an impact here.
Race 2 (5:30pm) VIN ROUGE
Useful five race maiden, who picked up a place last time out at Wolverhampton (2m, a/w, when third and just 1.5 lengths behind winner, Blazon eight days ago. He stayed on well in that contest and is shaping up to be a useful stayer. The shorter 1m 6f trip should not be an issue, but she may have to show a little more to take the outright victory here, but should feature.
Race 3 (6:00pm) BIG IMPACT
Maiden and only win came back in February 2020 at Southwell and had shown very little since. However a second last time out, again at Southwell back in April, saw them finish 1.75 lengths adrift of the winner and offers fresh hope, for this return from a five month lay-off. Not the best record at this track, but should be in the mix as they head into the closing stages.
Race 4 (6:30pm) CHOCOYA
Grabbed a third career win last time out, when finishing half a length clear of Crazy Luck at Salisbury (6f, good to firm), in a Class 2 contest, earlier this month. Up 3lbs in the weights, but has a strong recent record on the all-weather of 21122 and arguably looks the lead contender in this race.
Race 5 (7:00) LORD LOVELACE
Perfect start to his career, when taking the spoils on debut at Kempton (7f, a/w), beating Abbey Heights by 1.25 lengths last month. Faces a tougher test now under penalty, but this Crisford trained runner, should have more to come this evening.
Race 6 (7:30pm) BOY GEORGE
He may be a twenty-eight race maiden, but he has placed nine times, including three successive second placed finishes in the last three runs. The most recent of those came at Wolverhampton (1m, a/w) in a classified stakes, three weeks ago, when a length behind Essgee Nics. He should feature once again this evening.
