Race 1 (2:10pm) ATOMIC FORCE
Made am impressive debut last month, when second at Musselburgh (5f, good), finishing 2 lengths adrift of The Gatekeeper. Was favourite for that race and looked in control til about halfway through. Has been gelded since and is likely to show further improvement this afternoon
Race 2 (2:40pm) LADY NECTAR
Placed or better in half of her dozen starts, including three victories. The latest of those came in her last outing, when winning at Thirsk (6f, good to firm), when half a length ahead of Ghathanfar on her seasonal debut. Comes in 4lbs higher, but capable on softer ground and should feature in what is a very competitive contest.
Race 3 (3:10pm) TRICORN
Four wins in twenty-nine starts, including last time out at Ayr (1m 2f, good to firm), when 1.25 lengths clear of Puckle. Takes on an extra 4lbs for today’s race, but looks capable of continuing the decent form of this year. Should be in the hunt for the spoils.
Race 4 (3:40pm) SUSIE JAVEA
All four career wins have come in the last six starts, including when sealing a double at Southwell (1m, a/w) back in February and then returning to the take the spoils over the same C&D last month, when 0.75 lengths clear of Maykir. Comes into this contest, winless in ten on turf, but a recent third at Beverley at least shows some ability. Harry Russell claims 5lbs for this contest.
Race 5 (4:10pm) PERFECT SOLDIER
He had won just once in the previous thirty-nine starts, before winning his latest two runs, firstly winning over 1m 2f at Musselburgh last month, when 1.25 lengths clear of The King’s Steed, before following up with a victory once again at Musselburgh (7f, good), beating Lagenda by a head. A 2lbs rise looks fair and the potential treble has merit here.
Race 6 (4:40pm) OMANY AMBER
Had some reasonable performances in opening five career starts, but has since burst into life, with four wins in the seven runs since. The filly secured a double at Wolverhampton (1m, a/w) in her penultimate start, beating Keyfast Warrior by 3.5 lengths earlier this month, before placing second at Nottingham (1m 2f, good to soft) eight days ago, when 0.75 lengths behind Myristica. Strong claims here, with Clansman the main concern.
