Race 1 (1:00pm) JAFFATHEGAFFA

Fourteen race maiden, who picked up a third last time out at Brighton (6f, soft), fifteen days ago, some 2.25 lengths adrift of winner, Porterinthejungle. That was his second start for Gary Moore’s yard and more is likely to come, assuming he copes with the new trip.

Race 2 (1:35pm) PUMP IT UP

Another maiden, with nine races under her belt, without a win so far, however a third here over 1m 2f and then a second at Windsor (1m 3f, soft) two days ago, when 3.25 lengths behind winner Knight Of KIngs offers plenty of encouragement. Runs off same mark and should have a big say.

Race 3 [2:10pm) TIN FANDANGO

Only victory came here back in April 2019 (1m 7f, a/w), with places dotted about his runs since, including a second at Wolverhampton (2m, a/w) in the penultimate start back in May, when 0.75 lengths behind Clifftop Heaven. Back on turf today, which asks a question or two, while Ellie Mackenzie claims 5lbs in this open contest.

Race 4 (2:45pm) MATAMUA

Solid start to career with a couple of fourth places in May, before building upon those to grab a second at Nottingham (1m, good to firm), 1.5 lengths behind the winner and then a third over the same C&D a fortnight ago, 1.25 lengths behind on handicap debut. Drops back in trip and has strong claims.

Race 5 (3:20pm) PROFOUND ALEXANDER

Steadily improved over the course of three runs so far, culminating in a second last time out, over C&D, when half a length behind Ellade on the all-weather last month. Previously placed fourth in a Class 4 maiden at Goodwood and that sets the standard in this lesser contest. Strong chances this afternoon.

Race 6 (3:55pm) ROSA MYSTICA

Took a maiden victory at the fourth attempt, when beating Black Hill Storm by a head at Goodwood (5f, good), a month ago in a Class 3 selling stakes. Drops down a level today and plenty is expected from this Richard Hughes charge.
