2:05pm York

The opening race is a Class 2 Nursery over seven furlongs, with Convict the GG selection among the nine runners. They go in as favourite for the race, with a two length win last time out at Redcar under their belts and look to have more to come. Conditions could pose a question, but his quality should make this a non-issue.

Lucander is the only cause for concern here, picking up a good win at Doncaster last time out, but does prefer firmer ground.

GG Selection – CONVICT

2:20pm Newmarket

Our next race is a mile and a quarter, Group 3 race, with nine runners taking part. Volkan Star is the GG choice here and the second favourite has had an excellent start to his career, with a second on debut at Newmarket and an impressive six length win in a Goodwood maiden.

Mythical is favourite, with the win at Gowran Park at the end of September over soft ground, only enhancing that status. Miss Yoda also warrants respect having won both career starts.

GG Selection – VOLKAN STAR

2:55pm Newarket

Race three is the Group 3 Autumn Stakes over a mile, with favourite and joint ROR leader Molatham, the GG selection here. The Convivial winner at York, followed that with a victory at Doncaster, while soft ground could make for an interesting treble bid.

The other joint RPR leaderAl Suhail, was a winner at Yarmouth in August, but may prefer firmer ground, while Persia won on the soft at Galway. These two look the most likely challengers.

GG Selection – MOLATHAM

3:15pm York

Race four of the Scoop 6 is a mile and a quarter contest, with just seven runners and Dark Vision being the GG pick. They have shown some improved performances at this level, and the co-RPR leader did win at York back in July of 2018. However, soft conditions could be a factor here.

Johnny Drama and Harrovian are the other co-RPR leaders and are in good form. The former finished second a couple of months back over Course and Distance the latter winning at Yarmouth last time out. Forest Ranger is another one to watch out for and won on soft ground at Chester back in May.

GG Selection – DARK VISION

3:50pm York

The penultimate race is a six furlong sprint, featuring twenty-two runners for punters to sort through, with our GG expert going for outsider Pass The Vino. Despite a relatively big price, they are in great form, winning a Class 2 at Newmarket in July and has since followed that up with 2nd, 2nd and 5th.

Aplomb is the narrow favourite to take the win, while both Summerghand and Hey Jonesy are both expected to be in the mix, thanks to good form on softer ground. Expect an open race and maybe a surprise or two.

GG Selection – PASS THE VINO.

4:10pm Newmarket

The final leg is the Cesarewitch over two miles and two furlongs, with thirty runners to wade through for backers. The GG selection is outsider Dubawi Fifty who has been a solid performer for trainer Karen McLintock, winning five and placing six times in seventeen career outings, The penchant for the all-weather may aide them here in terms of the slow ground and they did place in this very race in 2017.

Ranchhand is the clear favourite in the market, having won on soft ground, last time out at Haydock, while there has been plenty of interest in Mt Everest, who won the Irish equivalent, last year at Naas on yielding ground. Good luck to those needing this race to win the scoop6 today!
