Trifecta Of The Day

Today’s featured race, for our Trifecta of the day, is the Class 2 - Qatar Handicap (4:10pm) over 7f and featuring eight runners, lead by our first selection, Society Lion in the market.

This Sir Michael Stoute trained runner has improved in each of his four career starts, with the latest, a second at Doncaster, when beaten by Tiger Crusade by a neck (7f, good to soft). Despite a rise of 5lbs for this race, there looks to be plenty to come still, while the first time run on good to firm ground could ask a question of him,

Next up is Tomfre, who has been a little inconsistent, since winning at nursery at Newmarket back in October. That inconsistency was highlighted recently, when sandwiching a second place finish in a Class 2 at Sandown, between 11th and 7th placed finishes, although the eleventh was in the Bunbury Cup, so may well have been a little unfair to be judged so harshly. Has the talent, but needs to step up.

Lastly Mister Snowdon is the final selection. Having opened with a couple of wins at Class 5 and 6 levels, he looked out of his depth in the Group 3 - Jersey stakes at Ascot, finishing down in eleventh that day. However he bounced back well enough in his last trip, when third at Yarmouth in a Class 3 race (6f). Today’s 7f looks a better distance for him and he should be in the mix.

Our finishing order is below, but this looks a good race to go for the Superpool selection, over the straight trifecta, such is the ability of these three class runners.
