The opening race of this ToteScoop 6 is the 6:30pm Chepstow, an eight runner race, over a mile and a half. Rose Crown is the current favourite for the race, with Lafilia, Tomorrow’s Angel and Rosie Royale all expected to mount a challenge here.

The favourite looks in good form and went close, last time out at Pontefract three days ago, while the rest need to find past form to give themselves a chance, after some below par performances, with Rosie Royale arguably the best of that trio, after a decent run at Bath.

GG Selection - ROSE CROWN

Next up is a seven runner race, over a mile and three in the 6:55pm Chester. This, once again looks to be a tough call, with four of the seven, separated by barely half a point in some markets. Despite the tightly packed betting, Infrastructure is the narrow favourite, ahead of GG pick Mugatoo, Gossip Column and Vivid Diamond.

Infrastructure returns to this level, after some strong runs at the higher class 2, but may be a little less sharper, having not raced for a month. Of the rest Mugatoo has risen quickly to this level, having won at classes five and four, while finishing fifth last time out at class three level. Gossip Column is the one to look out for here, having won last time out at the same level, while Vivid Diamond has a second at class one level to fall back on and could well win, if they can replicate that form.

Expect a blanket finish in this one!

GG Selection - MUGATOO

Race three of the Scoop 6, is the 7:05pm Chepstow, as ten runners take on this mile trip, with a little respite for punters, in what looks to be a two way fight between Tarbeyah and Accomplice for the win.

GG pick, Tarbeyah has some solid performances in the four races at this level, but has yet to kick on for a victory so far, while Accomplice has plenty of experience over her rival, but has not won a race in fifteen months, despite some good runs too.

GG Selection - TARBEYAH

The second half of the Scoop 6 brings us back to Chester for the 8:00pm race, a seven furlong sprint, playing host to twelve entrants. Proud Archi is the clear favourite here and looks to be a straightforward selection for most punters here, with a strong O.R. and two successive second place finishes at this level, coming into the race. Zeyzoun is the only challenger of note among the rest of the field and has some solid form in recent outings, but will need a best ever performance you feel, to beat the favourite.

GG Selection - PROUD ARCHI

The final two races come from Chepstow, with the first of those, the 8:10pm race, a six furlong charge, featuring a small field of just eight runners. This looks to be a battle between the duo of Oeil De Tigre and Good Luck Fox with little to separate them in the market.

Oeil De Tigre has the class, having finished second in a class two last year, but seems to be feeling their way back to an extent, finishing fourth last time out at Windsor. Good Luck Fox has also take a little while to get back to sort of form they are capable of, but a second at Ripon at the higher level, last time out, arguably shows they may be ahead of their rival here.

GG Selection - GOOD LUCK FOX

The last leg of this ToteScoop 6 is a seven furlong race, as sixteen take on the 8:40pm at Chepstow. Despite a large field, this once more, looks to be a battle between two runners, with Captain Dan and Kendergarten Cop leading the way, with the rest 8/1 bar.

Captain Dan has picked up a win at this level, but has since struggled on trips to Ireland, so a return to class action should suit here. Kendergarten Cop has two class races to their name, including last time out at Lingfield and looks to be the sharper of the two here. GG pick Gold Hunter is an 8/1 outsider for the race, but has plenty of experience at higher grades, with past class two ability and despite the price, cannot be ignored too easily here.

GG Selection - GOLD HUNTER
