It was a big advantage to be drawn low in the 7f Worthington “The Rushton And Bridge Family Together” EBF Stallions Fillies’ Stakes at Newbury on 22 October last year, with the winner and runner-up drawn in stalls 3 and 1 of 10, and it also paid to be up with the pace, with the first three home described as ‘with leader, led halfway’, ‘chased leaders’ and ‘led until halfway’. Fourth home Rebel Surge (stall 8), who fared best of those to come from off the pace, went close on her next two starts, and Sunset Dream (stall 10), who trailed home last of the 10 runners, scored at Chelmsford at the next time of asking.
DUTCH MIST could only finish ninth when poorly drawn (stall 8) in that Newbury contest but is taken to bounce back in the 32Red/EBF Fillies’ Handicap at Lingfield today (2.50). The Kevin Ryan-trained four-year-old has been freshened up since and her stable is in excellent form. This will be her first All-weather outing but her sire has a respectable record here.
Dutch Mist – Lingfield 2.50 (1pt win, 14-1 Coral, BetVictor, 12-1 generally)
