track-bias-diary-v2BRONZE BEAU (stall 7 of 9) has a poor record following a win – form figures of: 322520859384 (0-12), so I’m quite happy to forgive his last-time out Carlisle reverse, as it came just five days after a 5f Hamilton win.

Bronze Beau returns to Hamilton tonight for the 5f SAS ‘The Power To Know’ Handicap (6.35). The veteran is well drawn towards the usually favoured stands’ rail and looks set to receive an easy lead.

QUEEN IN WAITING (stall 3 of 9) completely blew the start when fifth at Chester on her penultimate start, doing well to finish so close in the circumstances, and also caught the eye at Sandown last week where a close fifth from a poor wide draw in stall nine (winner and runner-up drawn in stalls two and one respectively). The fourth from that race, the poorly-drawn Shamshon, scored at Newmarket this week, and Queen In Waiting can be backed in the 6f MBNA Make Good Stuff Happen Fillies’ Handicap when she returns to the Roodee today (2.25).

It paid to be drawn high on the straight course at Ascot last night (first three in the 6f handicap drawn 9, 11 and 10 of 11) and POLYBIUS (stall 17 of 20) looks well berthed in the 5f totescoop6 Heritage Handicap today (2.10).

The David Simcock-trained six-year-old has yet to win at the minimum trip but handles it well enough and ran a blinder in the Wokingham when a 33-1 fourth, doing second best of those to race on the stands’ side (where the ground was slower). That was his first British outing for his current yard and there could be improvement to come.

Polybius – Ascot 2.10 (1pt each-way, 12-1 generally)

Queen In Waiting – Chester 2.25 (2pts win, 7-2 Betfred, Totesport, BetVictor, 100-30 generally)

Bronze Beau – Hamilton 6.35 (2pts win, 6-1 Ladbrokes, Coral)
