image-left-align track-bias-diary-v2Super Saturday’ gives way to ‘not-quite-so-super Sunday’ and it’s very difficult to find a worthwhile bet in Britain.

However, there’s a good card at the Curragh and I like the look of GROUNDFROST (stall 4 of 7) in the 1m Irish Stallion Farms Fillies Handicap (4.15).

The three-year-old daughter of Excelebration ran well over trip and track on her stable debut/reappearance in May, going down by a neck on yielding ground. She didn’t have much luck in running when only fifth at Leopardstown next time and the drop to 7f wouldn’t have suited.

She very much caught the eye when returned to the Curragh for her latest outing, again over 7f, doing best of those ridden patiently when a close-up 12-1 fourth of 13. The return to 1m will obviously suit and, with luck, she’ll get a decent pace to aim at despite the small field.

Groundfrost – Curragh 4.15 (1pt win at best early odds)
