Saturday’s Scoop 6 takes in three venues, with a duo of races each from Ripon, Newmarket and Newbury. A couple of large fields will test punters selection skills here, with each race taking place over either six or seven furlongs. We have a tough opener for the days Scoop 6, with a twenty runner, sprint over six furlongs, in this class two event. Such is the competitiveness of the race, the joint favourites of Alladel and Flying Pursuit are priced at 7/1.
Alladel won at Goodwood on soft ground recently and missed out by a neck on heavy ground at Nottingham, last time out. Flying Pursuit is another who has had success in softer conditions and has plenty of experience at this level, although they have been a little off form of late.
GG selection Hyperfocus won a class three over course and distance back in June, but has been a little off the boil in recent outings, while Growl can grab a win, although they too need to regain some lost form. This truly is a tough race to pick through.
Our next race switches to Newmarket, for a six furlong race at class four level, as sixteen take to the track for this trip. Chatham House is the favourite to take the race, with a little bit of a cushion in the market and comes in off the back of a win at Newbury last time out.
Three runners look to be the main challengers here, with Revolutionise in good form before a struggle last time out in a class two race over course and distance. Lethal Angel has three seconds and a third in their last four outings and will be hoping to go one better, while Glenn Coco will be looking to rediscover the form that saw four successive wins earlier in the year.
For the third race, we have a seven furlong trip, with seven entries in the first of the races from Newbury. George William and Ripp Orf are the joint favourites for this race, with the former finishing second over course and distance last time out and the latter, who leads both the RPR and TS ratings, will be looking to their regular class two outings to bag a win at this lower level.
Behind those, Graphite Storm looks the most notable, but will have to step up their form, even with a recent class four victory, behind them.

The second half of this Scoop 6, begins with a return to Ripon, as nineteen take on this six furlong race at class two level. This looks another tough call for punters, with the top five in the betting alone, separated by less than three points.
The GG selection here is the outsider, Reputation who has some strong class performances this year, but may prefer faster ground. If it dries up a little, they could well be in the mix.
This could be a make or break race for Scoop 6 entries today.
For the penultimate race, we return to Newmarket for a seven furlong race, featuring just eight runners and what looks to be (to the relief of Scoop 6 players) a two horse battle.
Imperial Gloriana is the narrow favourite for the race and placed well last time out at Thirsk on her third career start. Graceful Magic leads the OR, RPR and TS ratings here, after bagging a win over the shorter six furlongs here a fortnight ago.
The GG selection is once again an outsider, in Mild Illusion, who after a couple of seconds, got their maiden win at Windsor last time out, albeit at a lower level. But a victory and two places in three career starts, bodes will for this exciting two year old.
The final race of the Scoop 6, returns to Newbury, for a seven runner race over seven furlongs, in this class one outing. RPR leader and GG selection Safe Voyage is the favourite and will be hoping to return to winning ways, after a trio of Haydock victories, was followed by a third at the Curragh last time out.
Behind the favourite, Hey Gaman leads the challenge, with some excellent recent form, including a second in the MInstrel Stakes at the Curragh, where they finished ahead of the favourite. Glorious Journey has been in fine form and was narrowly beaten by Limato in the Criterion at Newmarket, while Sir Dancealot is fresh from a win in the Lennox Stakes at Goodwood, where they finished ahead of Hey Gaman.
Any of these four can take a victory here, in what could be the most competitive race of the six today.
