The opening race of this Jackpot is a class four novices stakes, over six furlongs and hosting twelve runners. This looks to be a two horse race according to the market, with Ascension the narrow favourite, ahead of RPR leader Good Job Power.

Ascension has one outing to his name at this level, finishing eleventh at Newbury, while Good Job Power comes in off the back of a strong sixth place in his second ever run at Goodwood in a class two and looks to have a strong case,

Among the rest, there are plenty of debutants, with Aweemaweh, Roman Melody, Ivadream and GG Selection Katkiss Everdeen among them, with the GG pick coming from a Dam who has produced several strong winners.

Next up is a repeat of the first race, with another six furlong event and twelve runners. Just like the opener, this looks to be a two horse battle, according to the market, with Impressor and GG pick Stoweman marginally separated.

Impressor “impressed” in a class two on debut at Goodwood and will hope to carry on the strong performance here, while Stoweman bagged a runner up spot on debut over course and distance.

Behind those, only Bright Valentine offers any remote alternative, but looks unlikely to threaten.

GG Selection - STOWEMAN

For the third race, we drop down to a five furlong charge, with eleven runners taking on this class four outing. GG selection Texting is joint favourite thanks to success victories over the last couple of months, while the other favourite in Mercenary Rose has placed in their last four outings, including a class three at Goodwood.

OR and RPR leader Alfie Solomons is among the potential challengers, but this looks a straight dogfight between the joint favourites.

The second half of this Jackpot, starts off with a mile trip, featuring just seven runners, with a competitive race expected. Joint RPR leader Fabulist is the narrow favourite and comes in off the back of a runner-up spot in a class two at Newmarket last month. Just behind is Sezim, fresh off a victory in a class four race at Chester and will be hoping a three pound advantage over the favourite will turn the tide.

Alfred Boucher has found plenty of support in the market this morning and will be looking to strike for the hat-trick, having won at Lingfield and Newmarket previously. Oloroso is also worthy of note and is joint RPR leader with the favourite.

GG Selection - FABULIST

For the penultimate race, we go up to a mile and a furlong, with nine runners taking on this class one outing. Odds on favourite Fanny Logan is also the GG selection here, with the class level victory at York last time out, cementing their market leader status.

The one main threat, among the rest is Lavender’s Blue, who has a second at this level to their name at Newbury, but was found wanting, when fourteenth in the Investec Oaks.

GG Selection - FANNY LOGAN

The final race of the Jackpot, is also a mile and a furlong trip, as a field of fourteen battle it out at class five level. This looks to be a two horse race between favourite and OR leader Starfighter, who will face a challenge from RPR leader Steeve, with the rest at 10/1 bar.

Starfighter comes in off the back of successive second place finishes, including a class four outing at Newbury, while Steeve has also placed in the last couple of trips, with a second in a class four at Sandown, the most recent, although the preference for heavier conditions may go against them here.
