Not up to scratch on turf at Windsor (5f, good to firm) last time out, but return to the all-weather, should see a marked improvement. Very much in the mix, in this competitive contest.

Strong contender for Willie Haggas, who built upon successive seconds at Newcastle and over C&D in December, to take a maiden victory at Lingfield (6f, a/w), when 0.75 lengths ahead of Jastar back in January. Makes handicap debut with plenty of expectation, despite the long absence. Very much in the hunt for the spoils this afternoon, with Tom Marquand returning onboard.
4:00pm – JAKACAN
Course and distance winner back in October, when 0.75 lengths ahead of Beryl The Peril, but has not been able to build upon that maiden victory, in four runs since. He bagged a third at Southwell (7f, a/w) on return from a break, before dropping off in turf runs, including the latest, when last but one in a Redcar (7f, good to firm) claimer. Needs to show more, now returning to the all-weather.
