Day three at the Cheltenham Festival is set to be another blockbuster with world class competitors everywhere you look. Amongst the highlights will be the prestigious Grade 1 Stayers’ Hurdle, a three mile, 12 hurdle race that in the past has been won by the likes of Thistlecrack, Paisley Park Sire Du Berlais.

At the time of writing, the defending champion, Teahupoo, trained by Gordon Elliott, is favourite to secure back-to-back victories. He’s 6/4 with sportsbook CopyBet. His closest challenger in the betting is The Wallpark, an emerging talent with a strong track record. His recent performances have been excellent and he’ll be well fancied at 9/2.
Nico de Boinville has enjoyed success this week already and he’ll fancy his chances of being in the mix here when he rides Lucky Place. The 5/1 shot has shown consistent improvement this season and is highly regarded in Nicky Henderson’s yard.
Beyond those three in the betting is Home By The Lee who has seen his odds drift over the last few days, largely because he has yet to win at Cheltenham. Now on offer at 7/1, the Joseph O’Brien trained horse has multiple Grade 1 victories to his name and will be hoping to improve on last year’s Cheltenham performance.
As always this promises to be a must watch race and the mix of proven champions and rising stars gives it an enthralling feel. New customers signing up with CopyBet can enjoy their current Bet 20 Get 60 offer which rewards punters with £60 of free bets when they place a £20 bet on the action.
