Our GG Tipsters had a strong week, with several triple and double picks, along with some big priced each-way picks, in a week that was dominated by Harry Angel, in the build up to Saturday’s Sprint Cup at Haydock. However the returning 2017 winner could not repeat the feat, as The Tin Man took the spoils, while at Kempton, the September Stakes showdown, was won by Enable, who beat Crystal Ocean by three and a half lengths.
Monday got off to a strong start, as Kevin O’Malley bagged three winners on the day!
Golden Force (11/4) mpressed with a gutsy display at Windsor. The Clive Cox trained runner, lead with two to go and despite losing the lead initially on the run in, the two year old fought back to win by half a length.
Andrew Mount followed up his Tuesday win with a pair of results on Wednesday. Each-way selection, Sosume (15/2) made good headway in his race at Wolverhampton, finishing a neck off the lead in third and looks to be one to watch in the future.
Petit Palais (9/4) also at Wolverhampton was his second pick, doing well after a hampered start, picking up their pace to lead after two, eventually romping away to an easy four and a half length win.
Sam Turner picked up a short priced winner at Southwell, with Angel Of Harlem (4/7). After taking the lead three furlongs in, they made all the running and beat Frankie De Berlais by three lengths, with the remainder of the field trailing by a distance,
On Thursday, Sam Turner picked up another winner, with Peppay Le Pugh (4/7) making it two successive victories at Sedgefield, easing alongside the leaders four out, before leading over the last and extending to a four and a half length margin.
Andrew Mount scored a 12/1 each-way selection in Mullionheir at Ascot - Running on well to take second in final few yards and beaten by the impressive Akbar Shah, who looks one to note for races in the future.
Saturday’s big race day, was also a strong day for our tipsters with five winners between Kevin O’Malley and Sam Turner.
The early pick for Kevin, was the aforementioned Enable, winning the September Stakes at 8/15, with Simply Breathless a 12/1 each-way selection at Ascot, winning by three quarters of a length, after a perfect run in to take the lead in the final few yards.
His third pick was Bakht Kahn, with the 16/1 each-way selection finishing third at Thirsk, having switched to the standside rail and making up lost ground well, with more to come from the Kevin Ryan trained runner.
Sam Turner bagged another brace of results with Mekong (2/1) winning impressively by seven lengths in the opener at Haydock, while Ripp Orf - (7/1) won at Ascot, despite being bumped at the start. After eventually joining the leader a furlong out, he stayed on to win by half a length.
