Check out this afternoon’s selections below.

AFFIRMED (Trap 3, 3.37 Perry Barr)

There could be plenty of trouble at the first bend here with a ton of early pace in this A1 contest. Affirmed is not the quickest away so can hopefully avoid any carnage at the first bend and his reserves of stamina should see him pick up the spoils late on. Has been unlucky not to win Open races at Monmore in the last few weeks and can finally show his true colours at Perry Barr

BACK AFFIRMED AT 5/1 WITH BET365 HERE

SAVANA SCAMP (Trap 6, 4.48 Henlow)

Has been plying his trade in open races at Central Park (formerly Sittingbourne) of late, winning at the highest level three starts ago. Should benefit from this drop to A2 level and has fantastic track form at Henlow, with seven course wins to his name. Will surely prove hard to beat here.

HELLO THERE (Trap 5, 5.17 Perry Barr)

This dog has been improving through the grades at Perry Barr of late, winning in A4 and A3 levels in the last couple of months. Ran a storming race in his first start at this A2 level last time when running on really strongly late to be beaten just three-quarters of a length in second. Usually slowly away, he will be doing his best work late and should again go close granted a trouble-free run

BACK HELLO THERE AT 7/2 WITH BET365 HERE

LIOSGARBH CAHY (5.28 Henlow)

Was a shock 10/1 winner at A8 level at this track last time and has been put up two grades into A6 this time around. However, he could take that in his stride as he clocked a fast time and his early pace should see him clear the first bend in front. From there, it’s just a matter of holding off some fast-finishing rivals. Should be exciting to watch.
