CobdenIt's the day we've been waiting for and the race we've been waiting for; the Cheltenham Gold Cup. One man who's looking forward to it more than anyone is Harry Cobden who has the plum ride on Clan Des Obeaux He's spoken exclusively to GG all week and here's his thoughts on his rides on Friday.

Quel Destin - JCB Triumph Hurdle

Has really impressed me this season and looks to be the smartest of the British juveniles. Obviously, Sir Erec has looked very impressive over in Ireland but Quel Destin won’t go down without a fight.

Capitaine - Randox Health County Handicap Hurdle

Slightly lost his way at the end of last season. He won really well at Taunton last time and I was really impressed with the way he stayed on from the back of the last hurdle - a definite plus for that big hill at Cheltenham. I am confident a fast 2-mile race should suit him.

Clan Des Obeaux - Magners Cheltenham Gold Cup Chase

Has progressed really well this season by winning The King George and The Denman Chase. The King George form was very strong, and The Denman Chase was the perfect prep to The Gold Cup. He has been in really good form at home. I schooled him last week, he was on springs and his normal work rider, Scott Marshall, is very happy with him. As said before, having a ride in The Gold Cup is a dream come true and I am very much looking forward it.

Magic Saint - Johnny Henderson Grand Annual

Won really well at Wincanton last time. He is a horse that has improved immensely since joining us at Ditcheat. A Grand Annual should really suit him. I am really sweet on his chance and I think he will run a big race.
