Kim BaileyThis column has been regularly identifying winner and it returns again as we crunch the numbers to reveal the best bets at Ludlow, Newcastle and Kempton on Wednesday.

CATCH ME NOT (3.45 Ludlow)

Trainer Kim Bailey has a decent strike-rate with his bumper newcomers of 26 per cent but that rises to 40 per cent when we focus on his bumper debutants at Ludlow. That suggests Bailey targets some of his better youngsters at this track and Catch Me Not is well fancied for powerful owners Paul and Clare Rooney.

PECKINPAH (12.45 Ludlow)

Trainer Alan King operates at a particularly high level with his juvenile hurdlers at this track. King has a strike-rate of 50 per cent with those runners in the last five seasons, which suggests Peckinpah could run better than his odds suggest after a promising run at Plumpton, where he blew the start, on his debut.

QAABIL (4.00 Newcastle)

William Haggas is always a trainer to be feared when he sends his horses north and he has a brilliant 47 per cent strike-rate (nine winners from 19 runners) with his older handicappers at this track. Qaabil carries the colours of Hamdan Al Maktoum into battle here.
