All races are offering three places, unless stated
Race 1 (1:10pm) ALBAFLORA
Won a Class 5 at Haydock and elevated to Group 3 company, when an impressive second in the Musidora Stakes at York (1m 2f, good to soft), before finding it difficult in the Group 2 - Galtres Stakes (1m 3f, good), finishing 5.5 lengths adrift. The drop to Class 2 level will no doubt suit here and this looks a nice easy start to the Placepot.
Race 2 (1:40pm) SLEEPING LION
Winner of the 2019 edition of this race, finishing 0.75 lengths ahead of Charles Kingsley. Has looked decent in his last couple of runs, placing second on the all-weather at Newcastle (2m), before a third at Ascot (1m 7f, good to firm) last month in a Class 3. Rises 3lbs compared to when winning last year, but still has plenty of chances here. Expected to go close one again.
Race 3 (2:10pm) GHALYOON
Won a Class 5 at Salisbury, back in July of 2019 and returned to action after over a year away, with an impressive second in a Class 2 at Doncaster (7f, good to firm), when a neck behind Magical Wish. Expected to strip fitter for that run and on what will be a second run after wind surgery, looks to be in the box seat for this 6f trip.
Race 4 (2:40pm) FRENETIC
Classy performer, who has won three of five career starts so far, with the most recent of those, coming at Curragh (5f, good) in listed company, four weeks ago, when justifying odds-on status, beating Chief Little Hawk by 1.75 lengths. No reason to expect anything less than another strong run on Friday, but will do well to beat the Sacred for the win.
Race 5 (3:15pm) REVOLVER
This Sir Mark Prescott runner, elevates in class, having won the last six races, including a Class 3 at Sandown (1m 6f, good to firm) last month, when 1.25 lengths clear of Dancing Harry. Despite the big jump to Group 2 level, he looks thoroughly in contention here and could show his true ability among some solid contenders.
Race 6 (3:45pm) SPYCATCHER
Debuted fourth at Redcar (5f, good to firm) in a Class 5 in July and showed plenty of improvement, when second in the Group 3 - Acomb Stakes at York, finishing just half a length behind winner Gear Up. This listed race should in theory a tad easier as a contest, but will need to be at his best to topple One Ruler. Strong claims overall.
