Sunday's meeting at Huntingdon will have to pass a precautionary inspection at 7am on raceday.
Clerk of the course Jack Pryor reports the ground to be perfectly raceable at present and the track will be covered on Thursday in preparation for a forecast drop in temperatures over the coming days.
Pryor said: "We are currently raceable and the course is in great nick, but we are forecast two back-to-back frosts."
He went on: "I'm confident we would race on Saturday, but with two successive frosts, there is just an element of risk there and we wanted to make people aware.
"The ground temperature is about 6.5C so there is some way to drop yet and we will be covering the racing lines with fleece today."
The Grade Two Betfred Peterborough Chase is set to be the highlight of Sunday's card.
