Having been campaigned over six furlongs in his last two starts, the son of Kyllachy will return to the minimum trip for the Group Two prize in which he finished 10th last year.
The four-year-old, who was beaten a short head by the smart Magical Memory in a six-furlong conditions event at Haydock last time out, not helping his chance when veering to his left, enjoyed his finest moment at the Sussex track in 2015 when landing the Molecomb Stakes.
Dascombe said: "Haydock was a bit disappointing. It seems when we try to restrain him, he just wants to go and get on with it.
"I would think that he will go for the King George at Goodwood now. We might as well go back to what he does best."
