Top tipster Andrew Mount found 14-1 Leicester winner Mo Celita on Friday and has five selections on Grand National day. Check out his selections below, along with a couple of sign-up offers for new customers
MAC AMARA – (1.35 Chepstow, 1pt each-way - 9/2)
MAC AMARA could get an easy lead here and is taken to get off the mark at the tenth attempt. She went into the tracker after her reappearance fifth at Fontwell where she raced in the ‘swap’ on the inside rail and has placed in both subsequent outings, including over trip and track. Main market rival Very Intense
WHIRLING DERVISH – (1.45 Aintree, 1pt each-way - 12/1)
WHIRLING DERVISH, seventh in the Cesarewitch last October, has won twice in the spring and wasn’t far behind 155-rated hurdler Not So Sleepy at Newmarket. He hasn’t had many opportunities over 3m+ and a mark of 137 could be on the generous side.
INDEFATIGABLE - (3.35 Aintree, 1pt each-way - 50/1)
INDEFATIGABLE looked worth another try at this sort of trip when keeping on into a 33-1 fourth of ten behind Black Tears in the Mares’ Hurdle at Cheltenham. That was her first start since wind surgery and she was less than two lengths behind Roksana (best of the British-trained runners), yet she’s five times the price of that rival (25-1 as opposed to 5-1). Her record in the spring reads 15114 (3-5), with the other defeat a 33-1 fifth of 22 over an inadequate 2m1f trip in the 2019 Dawn Run.
SAM BROWN – (4.15 Aintree, 2pts win - 10/1)
Anthony Honeyball’s SAM BROWN looks interesting now back up in trip in a first-time tongue-tie. His trainer has a seven from 21 record with this headgear since the start of last year (+£6.75), improving to five from 11 with those who led or raced prominently last time. He won a bumper at right-handed Wincanton on his racecourse debut but has disappointed when racing over obstacles in that direction, recording form figures of 4P3 (0-3). His left-handed record reads 1111 (4-4).
ENTWISTLE – (7.15 Wolverhampton, 1pt win - 12/1)
ENTWISTLE was beaten by 14 lengths into fourth when a 7-2 shot on last month’s debut at Southwell but his sire, Garswood, has a poor record with his progeny on Fibresand, with just one winner from 28 runners. They do much better on Tapeta, landing 12 of their 85 starts for a profit of £55.13 to a £1 level stake at SP. Karl Burke’s runners on this surface have recorded form figures of 11214322 (3-8) for a profit of £17.88 and his second-time out three-year-olds have an 11 from 48 record on the all-weather since 2010 (22.9% strike-rate, +£85.75).
