Newmarket racecourseTop tipster Andrew Mount has three bets at Newmarket and Doncaster on Saturday

THANK YOU NEXT - (2.40 Newmarket, 1pt win - 16/1)

If Newmarket rides like it has done for the last two days (see 5.00 preview) then THANK YOU NEXT could surprise in this 7f Listed contest. Richard Hannon’s filly sat closer to the early pace than ideal when a 20-1 fourth in 1 hot fillies’ handicap at Ascot last week and will be happier back at this trip.

Her best effort last year came over course and distance on soft ground when a close second in the Group 3 Oh So Sharp Stakes behind 1000 Guineas runner-up Saffron Beach, now rated 109. Bellosa and Devilwala are likely to ensure a good gallop and she looks overpriced.

MAY REMAIN - (5.00 Newmarket, 1pt win - 11/2)

Newmarket’s Rowley Mile course traditionally favours pacesetters but it’s been difficult to make all so far this week. There was a moderate headwind on Thursday but no wind to speak of yesterday when the winners were described by the Racing Post as ‘midfield’, ‘towards rear of midfield’, ‘held up in rear’, ‘took keen hold, disputed 2nd’, ‘disputed lead (10-11 favourite who bolted up), ‘steadied start, held up in last’ and ‘chased leaders’.

There’s pace from the low draws (stalls 1, 2 and 3) in this eight-runner 5f handicap. A few of these won’t like the easy ground and the best of the hold-up horses could prove to be MAY REMAIN now that he returns to his optimum trip. He was a Sandown winner off a 2lb higher mark when last racing at 5f and his full record at this trip since fitted with cheekpieces stands at 19121 (3-5), with the ninth from the worst of the draw at Dundalk and the second by a neck at Kempton.

He clocked a good time for his comeback fifth at Windsor and Cieren Fallon, on board for that Sandown win, returns to the saddle.

ROSEABAD – (7.05 Doncaster, 1pt win - 11/2)

ROSEABAD’s patient running style looks ideal for the round course at Doncaster and she can land this 1m2f fillies’ handicap. She won on firm ground at Bath (22-1) on her racecourse debut in late September but has shown plenty of useful form in defeat on slower surfaces since, running fifth in a 1m2f Group 3 on soft going on the Rowley Mile second time out before a close-up fourth in a soft-ground Listed contest at Pontefract where the cut back to a mile didn’t help.

She beat only one home on a hot 1m2f Rowley Mile handicap on her reappearance but clocked a good time in defeat and that race has already worked out well, with the winner following up in Listed company and the 16-1 third No Recollections, who like Roseabad, was ridden patiently, pulling clear with one other when scoring at Salisbury.

She takes on her own sex for the first time today and should get a good tow into the race from stablemate Coupe De Champagne.
