Top tipster Andrew Mount has been in good form this week and has three selections for Sunday’s racing
RAINS OF CASTAMARE – 1.10 Salisbury
There was a very strong pace bias, favouring front-runners, on the round course at Musselburgh’s meeting July 30th where RAINS OF CASTAMERE did well to run third from off the pace in a 7f handicap. Today’s apprentice handicap should be run to suit his closing style and he can be supported each-way.
ZOOKEEPER – 2.05 Windsor
ZOOKEEPER did well to finish third at Doncaster on his debut after making the running into the headwind and that form was given a major boost when the winner, Chindit, who also got no cover, won in Listed company at Ascot next time. Zookeeper disappointed at Yarmouth next time but might be suited by today’s step up in trip and is worth another chance to confirm his debut promise.
REDZONE – 3.05 Thirsk
REDZONE’s prominent style was no help at Newcastle last time where he did well to finish second (the winner, third and fourth all came from well off the pace). He broke is duck at Doncaster the time before – his first run on turf since gelded – and he looks nicely drawn down the middle.
Today’s Best Bets
Rains of Castamere – 1pt each-way – 1.10 Salisbury (8-1 generally)
Zookepper – 1pt win - 2.05 Windsor (9-2 generally)
Redzone – 1pt each-way – 3.05 Thirsk (17-2 William Hill, five places)
