Top tipster Andrew Mount was among the winners with Asdaa on Tuesday (13/2 from 9/1) and has four bets on a busy Wednesday. Check out his selections below, which are backable via SBK and their exclusive new customer offer that provides a risk-free £20 bet.
LADY ELYSIA – (2.00 Bath, 2pt win. 9/4)
LADY ELYSIA really clicks for jockey Georgia Dobie, recording form figures of 19011243421 (4-11) for a profit of £9.50 to a £1 level stake at SP, improving to 1141 (3-4) at Bath only (+£13.50). Eve Johnson-Houghton’s five-year-old mare has failed to score in nine starts for other jockeys and has solid claims under Dobie today.
TIMBUKONE – (2.20 Catterick, 1pt win, 8/1)
TIMBUKONE could only finish seventh of eight at Ayr on last month’s debut Keith Dalgleish-trained juveniles usually take a big step forward from first to second run. Simply backing any who had finished in the top seven on their debut would have found 32 winners from 140 bets (22.9% strike-rate) since 2014 for a profit of £75.65 to a £1 level stake at SP.
HIs second-time out 2yos at Catterick, regardless of where they finish on their debut, have recorded figures of 243611728115231 (5-16) for a profit of £34.92. The Ayr form has received a few boosts – the third was beaten by a neck when he returned to Ayr earlier this month, the fourth was just touched off at Yarmouth, the fifth-placed horse was beaten by a nose next time and the eighth won by five lengths at 14/1. His sire, Zoffany, has a poor record with his progeny at Catterick but there’s compensation in the price.
GLENGARRY – (4.25 Catterick, 1pt each-way, 10/1)
GLENGARRY had little chance under a patient ride at Musselburgh last time (winner made all) and other hold-up horses from that race have run well since. Fast ground suits and a strong pace should see him arrive on the scene late.
ROAR – (8.45 Sandown, 0.5pt each-way, 12/1)
ROAR has trouble stringing two good runs together and the best time to back him is usually following a defeat. He was only fifth in handicap hurdle company at Aintree last time but is six from 25 (24% strike-rate) immediately following a loss (+£18.00).
That improves to six from 18 when returned to the track within eight weeks of his previous outing. Hollie Doyle hasn’t got the greatest record when riding at this venue but he’s still worth a small interest.
