Andrew-Mount-Trend HorsesOur top tipster has a huge number of stats at his disposal and has highlighted the horses it should pay to follow in Britain and Ireland today.

GNAAD (1.50 Sandown)

It was disappointing that GNAAD couldn’t quite reel in Our Oystercatcher in a 5f Class 5 handicap at Sandown on his penultimate start but that was still a solid effort and it was pleasing to see the third and fourth both score at Bath last weekend. Gnaad acquitted himself well in Class 3 company at Ascot next time - going down by less than two lengths when mid-division to the progressive Texting - and it’s interesting to see Oisin Murphy booked for the gelding’s return to a Sandown Class 5.

DASCHAS (3.15 Yarmouth)

DASCHAS was always prominent into the headwind when 12th of 18 at Doncaster last week and can be forgiven that effort. The step up from Class 4 to Class 2 level will deter many punters when he makes a quick reappearance in the 5f Danny & Peggy Wright Memorial Handicap (3.15) but he ran well in this grade at Ascot in July and will appreciate the smaller field. His handicap record in single-figure line-ups stands at 312111721 (5-9) and he faces just eight rivals here.

CURSA MINA (4.25 Naas)

The Joseph O’Brien-trained CURSA MINA caught the eye on his debut at Navan back in May, finishing a 16-1 eighth of 15 in a maiden. That was was not run to suit the closers and he actually did second best of those to come from off the pace. Stablemate Latin Five, runner-up and best of the closers that day, went on to score at the Curragh on his nursery debut off a mark of 84 (he’s now rated 91) and I’m hoping that Cursa Mina can follow suit in the Christmas Party At Naas Racecourse Nursery Handicap (4.25). He’s run two respectable races since that debut effort and his yard’s nursery debutants (turf only) have won eight of their 36 starts (22.22% strike-rate) for a profit of £14.33 to a £1 level stake at SP. So far this year, the score is four wins from eight runners and an opening mark of 74 could underestimate him.
