1.50 Ascot – GLAMOROUS BREEZE (1pt E/W – 33/1 generally)
Go Glamorous, the dam of GLAMOROUS BREZE, was a half-sister to Just Glamorous who won the Listed 5f Rous Stakes in these colours at 33-1 in 2017 and I can see Christopher Mason’s five-year-old running a big race from what looks a good draw in stall 7 of 9. The five-year-old has improved this year, recording her five best RPRs (Racing Post Ratings) on her five most recent starts, including a career-best when justifying 2-1 favouritism in a Goodwood handicap last time. That was only a Class 4 contest but the drying ground will suit, she’s not a million miles behind her rivals (perhaps with the exception of Emaraaty Ana) on the clock and she’s placed in two of her three course outings (reared up and missed the break in the other).
2.50 Fontwell – MASTER DANCER (2pt win – 9/2 generally)
MASTER DANCER was a hurdles winner on his seasonal/stable debut last term and Richard Bandey’s six-year-old (also entered at Uttoxeter on Sunday) might be best caught first time out. He won in France when last racing over fences and has his first British outing over the larger obstacles today. Simply backing his yard’s runners over fences would have found 22 winners from 122 bets for a huge profit of £134.62 to a £1 level stake at SP and I’m keen to oppose the hard-to-win-with GUY, despite his yard’s fine recent form.

3.50 Newmarket – BRAVE CALL (1pt E/W – 100/1 generally)
Heather Main’s BRAVE CALL, sent off at 125-1 for his debut in a 7f novice contest at Leicester on September 12th, ran very green before showing a glimmer of promise at the business end to finish eighth of the 11 runners. The yard’s juvenile newcomers are just one from 64 but they are showing a profit of £230.33 to a £1 level stake on their second start (eight winners from 114 runners), improving to £270.83 with the colts/geldings (seven winners from 69 runners). Brave Call’s sire, Churchill, gets plenty of second-time out winners and his half-brother Island Bandit has won six times for the same connections, including second time out at 125-1. He was withdrawn here on good to firm ground on September 28th, so the dry forecast is a worry, but I assume they’ll pull him out again if they deem it too fast.
4.10 Ascot – CANOODLED (1pt E/W – 33/1 generally)
Ed Walker’s CANOODLED missed the amateur riders’ handicap here yesterday to wait for this fillies/mares Listed race and, though up in class, is taken to out-run her odds. She did best of those to come from the back when sixth in a 1m handicap at Newmarket last time and her four wins have all come on straight tracks on turf, including an 11-1 third (good to firm) on her only previous start over course and distance. The drying ground will suit.
