5.25 Curragh – RUN FORREST RUN (1pt E/W – 8/1 generally)
Low-drawn prominent racers were strongly favoured in the 6f handicap won by Queen’s Pardon at the Curragh on March 25th, with five of the first six home emerging from single-figure stalls. RUN FORREST RUN, ridden patiently from stall 14, missed the break and was still in last place as the runners approached the two-furlong pole. Switched towards the stands’ side, the five-year-old flew at the finish to grab third, just three-quarters of a length behind the winner. He’s drawn high again today but we’ve seen the Curragh bias swing from meeting-to-meeting and he’s drawn near the market principals, including short-priced favourite Senado Square.
