He has a superior strike-rate on the all-weather (3-11, as opposed to 4-43 on grass) and his three summer all-weather runs produced a four-length Newcastle win (9-2) off a mark of 87, a 25-1 Newcastle third off a mark of 94 and a 10-1 Lingfield win off 90.
Both wins came over tonight’s trip of 1m2f whereas the defeat came over an extended 1m4f and he runs off a handicap mark of just 86 tonight. He’s widely available at 16-1 and that seems too big.
