Like most progeny of New Bay she tends to hold her form well and simply backing the sire’s handicap representatives on the Flat (turf and all-weather) who finished in the top three last time out would have found 109 winners from 435 runners (25.1% strike-rate) for a profit of £108.48 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 81.63, A/E = 1.34).

8.00 Southwell – AL SUIL EILE (0.5pt ew – 12/1 Paddy Power)
AL SUIL EILE can usually be relied upon to run his race at this time of year and backing him blind from December to February when he was returning from a break of 90 days or less would have found seven winners from 29 bets for a profit of £56.50 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 2.84, A/E = 2.46).
