12.22 Southwell – NO RISK DES FLOS (2pt win – 7/2 generally)
I wrote the following about NO RISK DES FLOS in Racing & Football Outlook after his runner-up effort to L’Eau Du Sud at Stratford on October 31st…
“NO RISK DES FLOS returned from wind surgery with a respectable ten-length runner-up effort behind 8-15 favourite L’EAU DU SUD in the Blaze A Trail Stratford Hat-trick Hero Handicap Chase, pulling 26 lengths clear of the third. Olly Murphy’s nine-year-old could benefit from a return to Wetherby where his record reads 1116134 (4-7). He has a solid record on his second start of the season, scoring in both the 2021/22 and 2022/23 campaigns and finishing a close-up third last term having pulled up on his reappearance.”
Obviously, he’s not running at Wetherby today, but this track shouldn’t be an issue – he won his sole previous start here (albeit over hurdles) – and the form of that Stratford run has been franked by the winner, who is two from two since with the wins in Grade 1 and Grade 2 company. Throw in the presence of the Ben Pauling-trained Bad, notoriously hard to win with yet trading as the 7-2 joint favourite at the time of writing, and he looks worth a good bet. I’ve saved on MARGARET’S LEGACY, who could improve for the stable switch and first-time hood.

5.30 Wolverhampton – LOVESICK (1pt win – 9/2 William Hill)
Progeny of the sire Time Test have a good record on the all-weather, especially on Tapeta, when given a trip of 1m or further but the sprinters usually struggle. LOVESICK‘S 8-1 debut fourth in a 6f restricted maiden fillies’ stakes here on November 4th took the sire’s all-weather record over 6f or shorter to 0-59 but she did well to finish within four lengths of winner Maui Breeze after blowing the start and running green. Her sire and her dam both won over 7f on their second career start the step up to that trip should bring about improvement tonight.
