3.00 Uttoxeter – KNOCKANORE (1pt win 6/1 bet365, William Hill)
KNOCKANORE ran out an easy 16-1 winner of the Eider at Newcastle last month on his first attempt at a marathon trip, despite racing closer to the early pace than ideal. The runner-up and third were both well in rear in the early stages and he had almost 22 lengths to spare over the next prominent racer. Ryan Potter’s eight-year-old is open to plenty more improvement and the 10lb rise might not be enough to stop him.

6.00 Wolverhampton – BURABACK (1pt Each Way – 11/4)
BURABACK is stuck out wide in stall 10 of 10 but that’s unlikely to be an issue for Derek Shaw’s hold-up performer and his latest course and distance win came from a wide berth (stall 9 of 10, once adjusted for the non-runner). Like most runners from this yard, he gets fit on the track and has a good record in sprints when returned to the track seven days or sooner after his latest start, recording form figures of 211106115 (5-9) for a profit of £14.33 to a £1 level stake at SP, with four of the wins at Wolverhampton. He went down narrowly here four days ago and there should be plenty of pace to tee the race up nicely.
7.15 Southwell – ONE MORE DREAM (1pt win – 6/1 bet365)
ONE MORE DREAM tends to hit form at about this time of year and the six-year-old was breaking a near 11-month losing spell when landing a 6f handicap at Wolverhampton on February 17th. John and Sean Quinn’s son of Bated Breath failed to settle from his wide draw when a close-up sixth over 7f at Southwell next time and was again keen/wide when fourth over the same track and trip on his latest outing. He now has form figures in February/March of 314312124143164 (5-15) for a profit of £15.83 to a £1 level stake at SP and tonight’s cut back to 6f can see him regain the winning thread.
