3.50 Salisbury – UNDER THE TWILIGHT (1.5pt win – 8/1 bet365)
UNDER THE TWILIGHT needs a big field/strong pace scenario and her record over today’s 6f trip in fields of 12 or more runners stands at 132119 (3-6), improving to 11 (2-2) at Salisbury only, with both wins at odds of 12-1. Michael Blake’s six-year-old finished ninth of 16 at Windsor last time but was only beaten by three lengths of ground that was faster than ideal, started at 18-1 and was poorly drawn to boot. He won this race off a 3lb lower mark last year and will handle the deep ground better than the majority of his rivals.
