FontwellSunday brings another huge day of racing, with our resident tipster, Daryl Carter picking out a super seven of selections across the days cards at Newbury, Market Rasen and Uttoxeter. Check out his choices below and see how to Claim Up To £50 In Free Bets

Good Ball - (1.15 Newbury, 1pt win - 9/4)

GOOD BALL ran an excellent time figure at this track when beating reposing rival Gowel Road and connections have been keen to get a run into him but for multiple abandoned meetings. He was well on top at the finish in that contest and that form line looks extremely strong and with the promise of more to come, he is very hard to oppose. Ahorsewithnoname will be popular but she shaped as though she was crying out for a step up in trip here in November and might lack the speed of this youngster.

Fivetotwelve - (1.30 Market Rasen, 2pts win - 6/1)

If this horse of Olly Murphy’s is not rated higher than 109 by the end of the season id be absolutely flabbergasted because she has shown some very useful form in three starts over hurdles this term and her bumper run has worked out well. She has been given a very easy time of things notably on her last two starts and I would ask anybody to go back and watch her run at Chepstow behind Soaring Glory and Bravemansgame over a trip too short. She caught the eye behind the unbeaten Ballingers Corner here at Market Rasen last time and she is receiving weight from everything in this field thanks to Lewis Stones’ 7lb claim. If this can’t win I would have to start questioning my selections when it comes to this yards handicap debutants.

Southfield Harvest - (1.50 Newbury, 2pts win - 5/1

SOUTHFIELD HARVEST was unfortunate not to get off the mark on handicap debut at Wincanton over 2m5f last time and has to cope with a 5lb rise for finishing second but this new trip is certainly a source of improvement for him. He has been crying out for a step back up in trip (1/1 3m) and his bumper and Novice Hurdle form from last season suggests that he should be ahead of the handicapper off this mark of 135. His future almost certainly is over fences but he has unfinished business over hurdles and can deservingly get off the mark this season.

Sceau Royal - (3.00 Newbury, 1pt win - 7/2)

How dare I back against Champ I hear you saying but there comes a point where the head must rule the heart and SCEAU ROYAL is certainly the value in this contest after his exploits in this race last year. He finished third beaten just 3 lengths by Altior and Politologue in a much stronger contest than this and he has only had two (one completed) starts over fences since. A repeat of that performance should see him run away with this contest and after such a fine season to date, he is worth chancing at the prices.

Mick Maestro - (3.15 Market Rasen, 1pt win - 4/1)

MICK MAESTRO is a fantastic price here given the time figure he recorded at Catterick when trouncing the reposing Miss Heritage by 15 lengths and he should have no issue shrugging off this 12lb rise given the runner-up boosted the form two starts later in stylish fashion. This is a horse firmly on the up and connections looked to have placed him well again here and although Ajero is a horse I think is ahead of the handicapper this soft ground may not be his ideal conditions.

I Like To Move It - (4.45 Newbury, 1pt win - 3/1)

You only have to look at the last ten years of winners to see that this race is usually very informative and I LIKE TO MOVE IT can prove the best of them before going on to the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham. Nigel Twiston-Davies won this race with Ballyandy before he went on to win the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham and he looks to have another very useful recruit on his hands here. This horse hasn’t beaten much and hasn’t clocked any special times but visually he looks like a horse that is progressing with each run and the manner in which he has put his races to bed has been impressive. He is currently 20/1 for the bumper at the festival so if you are backing him here make sure you take some of the 20/1 also.

Dharan - (4.52 Uttoxeter, 1.5pts win - 7/2)

I have been waiting for DHARAN to reappear and to my delight, it comes in a handicap for the first time and like the above, he is another that will surely finish out the season rated higher than this opening handicap mark of 112 (109 got 3lb collateral rise). He caught the eye at Ayr behind Unohu (126) when very green and travelled like the best horse in the race but lacked the experience under pressure that the winner had. I was infuriated with his ride at Wetherby when he barely came off the bridle behind subsequent winner Dreams Of Home and that race was run at a good clip for the grade. The hope is that he is asked for maximum effort now into Handicap Company and he can take advantage of a race that lacks depth.
