British racing’s return may be on the horizon but the action across the Channel continues apace. Check out our top French Racing Tips for the meeting at Dieppe on Tuesday
DUTCH CHOP (11.40 Dieppe, 51/2f)
Drops in class after competing at higher levels, including when beaten three lengths in a Listed race at Chantilly two months.
With no doubts about his fitness after a race just five days ago sharpened him up and young
rider Hugo Mouesan claiming a valuable 8lb, he can claim the scalp of likely market leader Xaaros.
DALVINI (12.50 Dieppe, 1m4f handicap)
Already worthy of respect given he competes for the powerful trainer/jockey combination of Alain de Royer-Dupre and Christophe Soumillon.
Successful in a decent handicap at Longchamp in April last year, he has since run really well in races better than this.
Decent ground should suit him ideally and he rates the best bet of the day
KUNDRIE (2.00 Dieppe, 1m1f handicap)
Runs in a handicap after three solid efforts in maidens without managing to get her head in front.
Has shown ability and trainer Henri-Alex Pantall has secured the services of Pierre-Charles Boudot for the ride.
This duo should be staying on strongly at the death and Kundrie can make her first step into handicaps a winning one.
GOUREL (2.35 Dieppe, 1m4f handicap)
One of the more interesting runners on the card after he performed well over this trip for trainer Francois Rohaut before moving to Myriam Bollack-Badel last summer.
Has since seemingly been campaigned over wrong trips, with most of his runs coming between seven furlongs and a mile and a quarter.
A return to a mile and a half should be ideal judged on historic form and we’re excited to see what he can do back at this trip.
