We’ve been in good form while racing in France has been keeping the show on the road. Here are our best [French Racing Tips]() at Clairefontaine on Saturday
SAWSAN SENORA (14.15 Clairefontaine, 2m2f handicap hurdle)
Let the side down on her final start last season after being sent off favourite for a hot handicap hurdle but we like to forgive horses one bad run around here.
She’d been successful on her penultimate start and it’s worth noting the form of her previous has been franked with the runner-up and third subsequently winning.
That win came at this course so there are no fears around this course and she can go well if she’s fit after a 228-day break.
CAPODIMONTE (14.50 Clairefontaine, 2m2f hurdle)
Made his jumps debut just over a fortnight ago and finished fifth after travelling well and staying on strongly in an eyecatching manner at Compiegne.
The only horse to have come out from that since - third-placed Garkapstar - was an impressive winner at Pau earlier this week, which gives the form a boost.
With improvement expected Capodimonte should be capable of going close.
MONDURA (15.25 Claireontaine, 2m2f handicap hurdle)
Fell through no fault of her own after being badly hampered by another rival in a decent race at Compiegne in March.
Was travelling and jumping well at the time of that mishap and suspicion is she would have have run a big race.
Was at her best on better ground on the Flat and the ground should be far from bottomless here and she can be expected to go well.
EDALKA DE KERSER (16.00 Clairefontaine, 2m3f handicap chase)
Travelled like the best horse before emptying out late on over 2m5f on her first start for more than a year at Auteuil last time.
Plenty of improvement expected from that comeback run and she was competitive in races far stronger races than this last year.
With the signs suggesting she retains her ability she can be fancied to make a return to the winner’s enclosure here.
