International Horse RacingA fantastic card awaits at Deauville on Sunday and our experts have pored over all the form to give you the best France Racing Tips available

LADY WALLI (1m handicap, 1.35 Deauville)

Won impressively three starts ago at Saint-Cloud and then got no luck in running on her penultimate start before posting a poor run in heavy ground on her final outing last season. Makes her return after a 206-day break and fitness has to be taken on trust but she is making her debut for Andrea Marcialis, who has been in good form in recent days, and the trainer has gone to the trouble of booking another top jockey in Maxime Guyon.

WAREGA (1m handicap, 2.15 Deauville)

Destroyed her rivals in a handicap over this trip at Maisons-Laffitte in October and was kept busy all through the winter over shorter distances.

Caught the eye staying on strongly in her last two starts and looks to be crying out for a return to this trip.

Regular rider Jeremie Monteiro has been replaced by Christophe Soumillon and the horse goes well fresh, which makes her a cracking bet.

ASTURIAS ROAD (5f handicap, 2.50 Deauville)

With lots of runners in the field seemingly better over longer trips it could well be worth taking a chance on confirmed sprinter Asturias Road bouncing back to form.

He ran better than the bare figures suggested after a break a couple of months at Chantilly a fortnight ago, when he failed to get the clearest of runs late on.

His previous efforts tie in closely with likely favourite Ribot Dream and his regular partner has seemingly been jocked off for Mickael Barzalona, who can hopefully steer him home in front.

HOLDTHAISGREEN (1m7f Group 3, 3.25 Deauville)

The highlight on the card is the Prix De Barbeville, which features Group1 performers Holdthaisgreen and Call The Wind.

The latter, trained by Freddy Head, won a huge prize in Riyadh a couple of months ago under Olivier Peslier and is likely to go off long odds-on favourite given his weight advantage, but at the prices the value looks to lie with Holdthaisgreen.

He is more likely to appreciate the underfoot soft conditions and is likely to be hard to pass in his attempt to make all.

It’s also worth noting that he possesses form figures of 111217121 when returning from breaks of more than 54 days so he goes well fresh.
