It will be a real slog at Chester this afternoon so stamina is definitely the order of the day. GG tipster Kevin O'Malley fancies one David O’Meara trained runner to relish conditions and get back to winning ways...
Frankuus is a talented horse, one I have a lot of time for and he looks poised to get back in the winning groove today for David O’Meara, a yard going well. Frankuus did not have a very productive 2017-18, but he shaped like he was back to something approaching his best of old last time out at Ripon over 1m4f. The step back to 1m2f today on, on ground that will suit the horse, provides the perfect platform for the 5yo to prove he is far from a spent force.
Frankuus likes to race fairly freely if he can, so coming out of stall 2 will allow him to secure a good early position and with a proven ability to both handle soft ground and stay further, I think it will take quite a good performance to peg him back, provided he gets into a good rhythm early on. Not many from the top of the market strike fear here, I do have a feeling Aquarium is going to run well at double figure odds though. He too is well drawn and has been finding his form again lately.
