Creep Desbois can give a further fillip to the fortunes of the Ben Pauling yard by landing the 2.45 at Leicester on Thursday. The six-year-old looks the best bet on the all-chase card at the East Midlands course.
After enduring a long lean spell, Pauling enjoyed another winner at Towcester yesterday courtesy of a brave, front-running effort from Delire D'Estruval, who made the well-backed Harefield look woefully one-paced. The latter was yet another strongly fancied loser for Alan King, who has struggled for any semblance of decent form of late.
Creep Desbois should be able to build upon his gutsy Fakenham win almost two months ago, and with more rain around in the Leicester area, he should appreciate the emphasis upon stamina and prove too good for a handful of decidedly inferior rivals.
