INGLEBY HOLLOW - (1.45 Cheltenham, 1pt each-way - 11/1)

INGLEBY HOLLOW arrives in the form of his life, and this lacks strength in depth, so it may be a good opportunity for him to gain his third success over hurdles.

He is relatively unexposed in this sphere after just 15 starts, and the last two runs where he was beaten a neck and a shorthead in class 3 and class 2 company suggested a stiffer test of stamina at a more galloping track would suit him well.

He was a big eye-catcher four starts ago in the Summer Hurdle at Market Rasen off 4lbs lower, and a repeat of that form would see him in with a big chance in this contest. This marks not beyond him, and this stiff finish will play to his strengths, and with a good conditional on he gets the vote.

IBIZA ROCKS - (2.05 Doncaster, 2pts win - 11/2) (NAP)

IBIZA ROCKS ran a blinder at Ascot behind the subsequent Ballmoral handicap favourite Sunray Major, and there is a good chance that another step forward on today's ground is likely.

He was the only horse in the field to make any in-roads from the rear and stuck to the task gamely. The fourth has since come out and won, and his previous form behind Silent Escape at Sandown makes him look extremely well treated.

He is up just 1lb for his Ascot performance and is drawn on the right side of this Doncaster track. There is no unexposed stand out candidate this time around (could be himself), and he faces mainly exposed rivals in what is a weaker race. He surely has a win in him before the seasons out.

MAX VEGA - (2.35 Newbury, 1pt win - 9/2)

Siskany could prove tough to beat here, but MAX VEGA gets the vote now down to a more suitable trip of 1m4, and the ground conditions have come in his favour.

All of his good work has come on a soft surface, with the best of those here at Newbury in the Geoffrey Freer Stakes over 1m5f when beaten and outstayed by two lengths by Hukum.

That is the single best piece of form in the race, and he has ideal conditions to replicate that today down 1 1/2 furlongs. There won't be many better opportunities than this for him, and although Siskany is feared, he represents a bit of value at the prices.

SKY PIRATES - (15:30 Cheltenham, 1pt win - 5/2)

He is the obvious choice, but SKY PIRATE'S claims are far stronger than any of his exposed rivals today. This represents a good opportunity to kick start his season.

He has only seen defeat to Allmankind over fences at this 2m trip and is twice a winner here at Cheltenham, including the Grand Annual at the Festival. He has carried 11st11 to victory before, and there looks to be no reason to oppose him.

DEODAR - (3.50 Doncaster, 1pt win - 5/2)

DEODAR takes on the top-rated favourite, but there are question marks about some of the handicap marks that's been given out to these two-year-olds this term. Flaming Rib was a good winner at Chester last time but was favoured by making all of the running on that occasion.

The selection offered plenty of promise at Newbury on debut when getting up to win under hand and heels, and the form of that race has worked out well. The runner-up Witch Hunter is since a Listed second at York, and that form ties in with today's favourite, albeit loosely. Open to improvement, he looks promising.

ROYAL MARINE - (4.50 Newbury, 1pt each-way - 18/1)

This is far easier than some of the assignments ROYAL MARINE has endured in recent times, and he returns to Newbury for the first time since running Ilaarab within a neck off a 2lbs lower handicap mark, giving that one 15lbs. Ilaraab is now rated 16lbs higher, so there is a good chance that this 2lbs higher mark won't stop Royal Marine from putting in a good show.

He is unexposed at this trip, and his trainer has booked Jamie Spencer, for which the pair have a 25% strike rate, and in turn, Saeed bin Suroor has used Andrea Atzeni for Long Tradition (2-27). The market has this wrong again, opting for the unexposed horse.

The eye-shields go on to help keep turf out of his eyes when held up at the rear of the field, and he must have a huge chance in this weak class 2.
