ITV Racing on Saturday: A Tip in All 7 Live TV Races!

Big Race Preview

There are no less than seven races set to be shown live on ITV Racing and we’ve earmarked a likely candidate to win each one of the contests at Doncaster, Newbury and all the way up in Kelso for a quality 3.15pm…

Doncaster

1:50 888Sport Handicap Hurdle

The Philip Hobbs stable has turned a bit of a corner in recent days after a couple of very quiet weeks and WHO’S MY JOCKEY looks well handicapped to build on a good performance in 3rd at Kempton last time out. He is competitively handicapped and this isn’t the strongest of heats.

CRACKING FIND has been in the form of his life lately, coming here on the back of an excellent course and distance win last time out, which followed a stylish success at Wetherby. So Sue Smith’s 8yo is seeking a hat-trick and with her string in such good form, Cracking Find will be a tough nut to crack.

3:00 888Sport Take ‘Em On Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle (Listed Race)

DANSE IDOL represents a Paul Nicholls yard operating a 29% strike rate with all runners in recent weeks and she looks a horse ready to make her mark over three miles. This Listed race for mares is an ideal opportunity to build on a string of consistent efforts over shorter and she must have a strong favourites chance under Sean Bowen.

Bet 6/5 @ Boylesports

3:35 888Sport Grimthorpe Handicap Chase

With Dingo Dollar on something of a revival mission here and Looking Well up in class, Kim Bailey’s ROCKY’S TREASURE definitely jumps off the page for the Grimthorpe, which has attracted a small field. This 8yo has to shoulder 11st 12lb here but he has been once of the nicest staying novices around and looks well handicapped here off 149, especially if he can return to the form of his Grade 2 victory here two starts back.

Bet 9/4 @ Boylesports

Newbury

2:05 William Hill Supporting Greatwood Veterans’ Handicap Chase

This competitive twelve runner race has any number of potential winners, but Dr Richard Newland has a real dark horse in the shape of 11yo ABOLITIONIST, who absolutely dotted up at Aintree over hurdles when last seen. He is a bit fragile by all accounts, but clearly has lots of talented. He is being aimed at the Grand National next month and would see to show up well here to be taken seriously there.

2:40 William Hill Supporting Greatwood Gold Cup Handicap Chase (Grade 3)

HAPPY DIVA has been running in the best handicap and races all season and continues to hold her form really well. Her Huntingdon form has taken a knock with Magic Of Light getting beaten in Ireland, but Happy Diva has every chance again under Richard Patrick. At a bigger price, Alan King’s VALDEZ could also be backed each-way, on the back of a really good run at Ascot when last seen.

Bet 5/1 @ Boylesports

Kelso

3:15 Edinburgh Gin Premier Kelso Novices’ Hurdle (Grade 2)

GETAWAY TRUMP found it all happening a bit fast at Ascot over just shy of two miles, but managed to plug on well for 4th in the Betfair Hurdle and clock a good speed figure in the process. This 2m2f test around Kelso should be to his likes and rates a perfect confidence boosting opportunity before a loftier Spring target.
