Sam-Turners-Saturday-Form-File-v1KONITHO Naas, 2.40) - renowned owner JP McManus will have the first opportunity to see if his sizeable investment in procuring the gelding was money well spent when the French recruit bids to repeat his stylish victory here of a fortnight ago.

Sir Erec and Fakir D’oudairies are two star Joseph O'Brien-trained juveniles already well-fancied for the Cheltenham festival and Konitho could book his ticket with another authoritative display. The French recruit clocked a time in keeping with the manner of the performance a fortnight ago and a repeat effort would make him tough to repel.

NELLIE PLEDGE (Naas, 3.10) - bolted up in a three-mile handicap at Navan last month, making the most of a lenient mark to hammer her rivals by upwards of nine lengths.

Connections then rolled the dice a day later and allowed her to contest a Grade 2 Mares’ Chase where she paid for trying to keep tabs on Camelia De Cotte, rated 40lb her superior. Providing that late fall hasn’t dented her confidence she could bounce back here.

CAPPUCCINO MAN (Naas, 3.40) - is proven over further and ran like it at Gowran, staying on doggedly in the straight to snatch second. This stiff track should suit and his stable sent out a horse to be placed in a Grade 1 Hurdle last weekend. However, I will probably look to adopt a split-stakes approach with THEREISNODOUBT given the horse he hammered at Clonmel won cosily at Ayr earlier this week.

Trainer Shane Crawley landed a nice handicap at Leopardstown last week and has also had another runner placed at a big price so has made a brilliant start to to his training career. His six-year-old posted an excellent figure when easing clear of a reasonable field and he should be on the scene again.
