Race 1 – Queen Anne Stakes – 2:30pm
A thrilling curtain-raiser takes place at 2:30pm on Tuesday as the Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes has attracted a quality field of milers. With four of the last five renewals seeing the favourite prevail then it’s paramount that Rosallion makes the cut and he is the first of six selections. Beaten by Lead Artist and Dancing Gemini in the Lockinge Stakes, it’s wise to put that duo in as well, while a potential outsider that could be worth putting in is Docklands, who is sure to be doing all his best work in the closing stages and cause a shock at big prices. Notable Speech beat Rosallion in last season’s Guineas, so is included along with Sardinian Warrior, who is another classy performer.
Race 1 Selections
- 3. Dancing Gemini
- 5. Docklands
- 7. Lead Artist
- 8. Notable Speech
- 10. Rosallion
- 11. Sardinian Warrior
Race 2 – Coventry Stakes – 3:05pm
With four wins in the Coventry Stakes since 2013, Aidan O’Brien is a man that has to be followed in the two-year-old 6f contest at 3:05pm. Ryan Moore will partner the well-fancied Gstaad in this year’s contest and that is one that will certainly be challenging. Wathnan Racing have a strong team heading to Royal Ascot and Postmodern and Underwriter will be two contenders for that ownership, while the Godolphin raider Military Code is another that has shown promise on the track so far. Ollie Sangster’s Bone Marra completes the quintet of selections.
Race 2 Selections
- 4. Bone Marra
- 9. Gstaad
- 11. Military Code
- 12. Postmodern
- 20. Underwriter

Race 3 – King Charles III Stakes – 3:40pm
Australian speedster Asfoora tasted victory in the King Charles III Stakes 12 months ago and Henry Dwyer’s raider is back to try and retain his crown. A repeat of that performance is sure to see him go close, so he’s a must-have addition to race 3 selections, while George Boughey’s Believing has been a real top notch sprinter in recent times and adds more depth to a strong quartet of selections for the 5f sprint at 3:40pm. Both Regional and Starlust are class acts on their day and will be available at bigger prices for this event.
Race 3 Selections
- 7. Regional
- 9. Starlust
- 12. Asfoora
- 14. Believing
Race 4 – St James’s Palace Stakes – 4:20pm
Arguably the most exciting race of the day takes place at 4:20pm with the St James’s Palace Stakes attracting the premier three-year-old milers. John & Thady Gosden’s Field Of Gold suffered a shock defeat to Ruling Court in the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket, but bounced back to winning ways with a dominant display in the Irish 2000 Guineas. Both take their chance here and it’s hard to not see them finishing in the first two again, while Aidan O’Brien’s Henri Matisse is the back-up selection in a race that can be dominated by those at the head of affairs.
Race 4 Selections
- 1. Field Of Gold
- 3. Henri Matisse
- 6. Ruling Court

Race 5 – Ascot Stakes – 5:00pm
Willie Mullins, Ryan Moore and His Majesty The King team up in the Ascot Stakes as the triumvirate unleash Reaching High in the 5:00pm race. Down the field in the Melrose Handicap at York last season, he bounced back to form when second at Leopardstown last month and he looks capable of more over this extreme trip. A real big-priced contender is Ralph Beckett’s Artistic Star, who has a lot to do on form, but has Jack Dace taking 7lbs off and could be one that excels over the marathon distance.
Race 5 Selections
- 2. Artistic Star
- 15. Reaching High
Race 6 – Wolferton Stakes – 5:35pm
Rounding off Tuesday’s Paddy Power Eliminator will be the Wolferton Stakes at 5:35pm and with only one pick in this race then you have to find the winner with a solitary shot. Well, the one to bring it home can be Roger Varian’s Enfjaar, who is a former winner of the John Smith’s Cup at York and is a potential Group horse on his day who can simply outclass his rivals in what is another fascinating betting heat.
Race 6 Selections
- 8. Enfjaar
