Well, here at GG we attempt to point you in the right direction of a few winners and we pick out our picks for each of the selected six races, as we look to try and get our hands on a slice of the monster jackpot!

Race 1 – Norfolk Stakes – 2:30pm

Aidan O’Brien last trained the winner of the Norfolk Stakes back in 2017, but the master of Ballydoyle will unleash the red-hot favourite Charles Darwin in the 2:30pm opener on Thursday and the recent Naas winner is a must-have selection. Second on debut, Naval Light is second in the betting and the expensive breeze-up is sure to improve from that first run at Beverley. Afjan and Sandal’s Song are both one win from one start, so could be open to improvement, while a couple at big prices that have shown promise are the unbeaten pair of Comical Point and London Boy.

Race 1 Selections

  • 1. Afjan
  • 3. Charles Darwin
  • 5. Comical Point
  • 12. London Boy
  • 13. Naval Light
  • 14. Sandal’s Song

Race 2 – King George V Stakes – 3:05pm

Drawn in stall 21, Serious Contender will have to find some luck in running to land the King George V Stakes at 3:05pm, but with Ryan Moore in the saddle then Aidan O’Brien’s charge can gain a decent position and looks to be a classy three-year-old. A two-and-a-half length winner at York last time out, Andrew Balding’s Merchant could well follow up here and is another that has to be selected in the five-strong list. Masai Moon has top weight to carry, but has shown plenty so far, while the pair Light As Air and Nautical Force add more depth to the squad.

Race 2 Selections

  • 1. Masai Moon
  • 2. Nautical Force
  • 5. Serious Contender
  • 8. Merchant
  • 12. Light As Air

Race 3 – Ribblesdale Stakes – 3:40pm

A hugely competitive renewal of the Ribblesdale Stakes will take place at 3:40pm and plenty will line up feeling they have a chance of landing the fillies’ Group 2. Second on his last two starts, John & Thady Gosden’s Life Is Beautiful has bumped into some smart rivals this season and she could be capable of landing this prize. A Listed winner last time out at Naas, Aidan O’Brien’s Garden Of Eden is sure to improve again and has to be among the four selections, while Caspi Star and Lady Vivian are two less fancied runners that could run big races.

Race 3 Selections

  • 1. Caspi Star
  • 4. Garden Of Eden
  • 8. Lady Vivian
  • 9. Life Is Beautiful

Race 4 – Gold Cup – 4:20pm

Eight go to post for the iconic Group 1 Gold Cup at 4:20pm and a new name will be on the trophy this year with Kyprios missing the race. The Ballydoyle team will still have a key player in the shape of Illinois, who is favourite for the staying event and could be a cut above his rivals in what will be a real marathon event. Second in this race 12 months ago, Trawlerman has an excellent record at Ascot and he could be the biggest danger to the favourite, while French raider Candelari is the only other top notch stayer in the field, so it’s hard to look past the front three in the betting.

Race 4 Selections

  • 4. Trawlerman
  • 7. Candelari
  • 8. Illinois

Race 5 – Britannia Stakes – 5:00pm

A devilishly difficult 30+ runner Britannia Stakes will take place at 5:00pm and with only two selections it’s going to be the race that sees plenty knocked out of the Paddy Power Eliminator. Colin Keane has already tasted victory in the Juddmonte silks and he could well go close again on board Ralph Beckett’s Brave Mission, who was second last time at Ascot and could go one better here. A winner of a Chelmsford maiden in facile style, Arabian Story will face a whole new type of test here, but the Godolphin raider could well be attractively handicapped off a mark of 97.

Race 5 Selections

  • 5. Arabian Story
  • 28. Brave Mission

Race 6 – Hampton Court Stakes – 5:35pm

Andrew Balding’s High Stock was just touched off in the Listed Dee Stakes at Chester last time out, but the son of Dubawi can make up for that loss by landing the Hampton Court Stakes at 5:35pm. With only one selection, you will need to find the winner of the Group 3 contest and Balding’s charge has only been seen on the track twice, so is entitled to improve again and he’s the one to side with in another competitive race.

Race 6 Selections

  • 7. High Stock
