Kaser isn’t one for a sizeable wager but he saves his best effort for Dunstall Park and could be worth risking despite a couple of subdued efforts away from Wolverhampton.
Unfortunately, some of the tastier prices about the four-year-old disappeared quicker than Scotland’s Rugby World Cup hopes but he boasts two of the top four figures in this event and could well bounce back at a reasonable price.
The drop back to seven furlongs has been the catalyst to a change in the fortunes for Gay Kelleway’s doughty handicapper, Ubla.
The selection was highly impressive when bursting through a competitive field to score on his penultimate start and I felt he emerged with a fair amount of credit last time when events didn’t really work out in his favour. He transfers back to a synthetic surface this evening and there looks the possibility of a strong gallop which could well give Ubla a collapsing pace to aim at.
Some will have felt that Guroor was a disappointment last time at Kempton when failing once again to take advantage of a good opportunity at a track she is effective on.
However, the subsequent speed figure suggests it was far from a below par performance and a repeat effort would make the Lope De Vega filly a major threat to all with conditions again likely to suit.
