Really Super (Worcester, 2.20)

Really Super has done all her winning at Worcester and returns on Monday following her latest impressive victory recorded last month.

The mare has raced at the venue four times (three wins and a second-place) and sauntered to a facile 14 length thumping of a competitive - if small field - 26 days ago. That was an emphatic return to form after a couple of near misses including when slightly unlucky in a Class 2 £12,000 Market Rasen contest.

Connections now set their sights on chasing and this looks a suitable starting point at her favourite racecourse, over fences that should hold few fears. She is in receipt of a 7lb mares’ allowance, has a decent speed figure recorded here last time and should take all the beating.

Theo (Worcester, 2.50)

Theo boasts a perfect 3-3 at Worcester with a fine portfolio of track speed figures and was in top form here last season when winning this comfortably after a rival departed at the last.

The admirable nine-year-old has won nine races in all but has not shone since winning this, although highly-tried including in Cheltenham’s Grade 3 Grand Annual Challenge Handicap Chase. A flop at Ayr in a Listed race back in April resulted in a 157-day break from which he now returns.

The lengthy absence could be considered a disadvantage but Theo won on his return to action after a 113-day break when trained in Ireland and - no doubt - will have been aimed at this by an in-form yard.
